Ambulance Billing Information

Burkeville Fire Department provides emergency ambulance services to the citizens in the community as well as mutual aid to the rest of Nottoway  County.

In order to provide this service, the department has full time paid staff for one ambulance twenty-four hours a day and is also supplemented by part time and volunteer staff. There are two ambulances in the station to ensure that there is always at least one ambulance ready to respond at all times. The funding necessary to provide this service is partially funded by revenue recovery through patient billing.  All of the billing rates are based on current Medicare, Medicaid, and Insurance guidelines for ambulance services. The department uses a 3rd party billing service (ELEVOS) to manage the revenue recovery program.  Contact information is provided below.
